As the year draws to the end, the holidays loom, auctioneers around the nation pull back some, as the outdoor estate auctions are too cold too stand around in...... Or is it truly the end of the season? As I have progressed in this industry, I am constantly amazed, and utilized in the many facets of this industry. Let's face it, commerce these days never sleeps. There are always situations cropping up where an asset solution is necessary. I thought that this fall would be a slow time for me, however, apparently, I have been discovered, by some leading auction companies in this country, for which I am blessed. I haven't been home much in over a month, traveling to PA the day after Thanksgiving, to an Ohio location in mid December, then right after the first of the year to California. Currently I am sitting in class to get my AARE designation, Accredited Auctioneer, Real Estate, the highest educational designation available to earn from the National Auctioneers Association. I have found that the last 25 years in the other businesses I've owned and been involved in, have given me the skills to excel in this industry. When I speak of the potential of this business, there are not many limits. No matter what the asset, the most efficient way to convert it to spendable currency for true market value, is the utilization of the auction process, whether live, online, or a combination thereof.
Speaking of the different types of auctions, it never becomes more clear as when the season changes from a warm sunny day day to a windy, frigid, snowy day. Are live auctions even held during blizzards, tsunami's, floods, or other natural phenomenon? They sure are, and sometimes, these are the best auctions ever, as greedy people come out in droves, thinking nobody else would be foolish enough to come out. That said, THIS auctioneer would prefer to host that auction online, where instead of wearing Carhartts, I can wear, well.... it doesn't matter what, but I hate to be cold.
Keep this in mind. I wish I had created this, for I love it, but I didn't.
You know those crowds on Black Friday, at every store? Auctioneers do that for your asset, and YOU choose the time.
